Inter starts the final season of Great Ukrainians . During the evening show of April, 11 the long-awaited results of national voting will be announced.
Ukrainians will finally get known whom did they choose as Top-100 and Top-10 Great Ukrainians. During the final stage of Great Ukrainians project the people will have to decide who of the ten most prominent persons deserves to be the Greatest Ukrainian of all the times.
According to GFK Company, during the first national voting over 14 thousand people claimed to be Great Ukrainians, 800 thousand votes given in total – it is 27 times as much as during the same period in Great Britain.
The success of the first stage Ukrainian 'greats' has not passed unnoticed in other countries. In Britain, the project's home country, it appeared on the pages of Premier News (BBC Worldwide, volume 9, issue 1). The articles pays attention to high ratings and share of the first show, it also calls the live stand-up from International Space Station as 'the unique finding of Ukrainians'.
Three months before the final stage of Great Ukrainians Project seemed to be very calm, but that was only from the point of TV-viewers as the show was not aired during the period. The work was humming off-screen though. Once the experts have completed votes counting, 'Inter' started production of documentary series and stories of the people who appeared at top-100. It is worth to note, that the journalists have managed to shoot 10 documentary films and 91 stories during the three months, while in other countries the same production period took three times longer. 'Inter' accelerated the pace of the project through engaging best specialists of National Information Systems and 07 Production Studio.
During the Great Ukrainians show of 11 April the audience will see the 91 stories of prominent persons and thus will get knownwhom did they vote for from 100th till the eleventh place at top-100. The 101st position is already known, the project team has decided to devote to Unknown Soldier. As for Top-10 of Greats – the show is not over 'till the fat lady sings'. The presenters Savik Shuster and Hanna Homonay will just announce the names of Top-10 in alphabetic order. That will give a start of a new stage of national voting – this time for the Greatest of ten Great Ukrainians.
In order to facilitate the decision making process for the people, 'Inter' will show ten documentaries, the series is devoted to the persons whom Ukrainian people named at top-10 list. Each film will be presented by 'an advocate' – a Ukrainian celebrity, whose major task is to prove that his 'client' deserves the title of Great Ukrainian number one! The goals of the advocates are to make people vote for the persons they have chosen, that may result in unexpected 'alignment of forces' among the Top-10.
One can hardly predict the outcome of project until it is finished. The votes for the Greatest Ukrainian will be counted live during the very final show, and the name of the winner will be announced just a couple of minutes before the end of the program.
